Vietnamese Noodle Soup at Omai

Omai
158 Ninth Avenue, Chelsea, NYC

On the way to gallery hopping in Chelsea, I found a Vietnamese restaurant Omai. There is no sign on the front but with some bamboo trees potted by the entrance. Omai doesn't offer typical Vietnamese street food like you get in Chinatown or Queens, but more upscale versions of flavors, presentation, and normal NYC price. I had beef noodle soup, Pho Bo for lunch and it was pretty delicious. The broth was very clean, topped with thinly sliced beef, onions, and fresh bean sprouts and Thai basil. Sometimes I find Pho soup in Chinatown shops a little bit cloudy and oily, so I liked Omai’s clean Pho.
